MissionFighting Hunger Two by Two - The youth at Poughquag United Methodist Church accepted this challenge offered by Jeremiah J. Park, resident bishop of the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. They participated in fund-raising activities to assist the annual conference in purchasing ten Heifer Gift Arks. The Heifer Gift Ark offers hope worldwide to families who are poor and hungry, helping them to start on a journey to fulfill a seemingly impossible dream - to secure food and a source of dependable income.

Caring For The Most Vulnerable - UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee On Relief, Supply Kits help to care for the most vulnerable people during times of crisis. They also help to sustain everyday life by providing basic necessities to people who lack ready access to essential supplies. These kits provide vital support for the work UMCOR does throughout the world. By donating kit supplies and financial gifts to purchase the supplies, we make a direct, tangible difference in sustaining people's lives. The congregation recently assembled layettes kits and previously have prepared flood buckets.
